Food Safety and Environmental Health

Retail Food Establishments
Sanitarians use WinWam to inspect retail food stores, restaurants, schools, caterers, mobile food trucks, mobile ice cream trucks, food vending machines, caterers and dealers.
Dairy
From the farm, to the production / processing of milk and milk products, inspectors use WinWam to enforce the FDA Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance. Using WinWam Inspectors insure that dairy products purchased are wholesome, produced under sanitary conditions and are correctly labeled.
Meat & Poultry
Inspectors use WinWam to ensure that meat and poultry and wholesome and properly labeled. Inspections include ante mortem, slaughter, processing, disposal of carcasses and the distribution / sale of meat and poultry products to the consumer.
Processing Plants
WinWam is used at processing plants, rendering plants and animal food processing plants to ensue that the food that we eat is safe, wholesome and free of disease.
Egg
Eggs sold for human consumption must be candled, graded, and refrigerated. Egg cartons must be labeled to identify day of pack, expiration date, grade, size, name, address, and identification of the packer. Inspectors use WinWam to perform inspections at all points of the distribution channel including packing plants, distribution centers, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
Bottled Water, Juice and other Beverages
Inspectors use WinWam to conduct inspections on Bottled Water and Beverages to determine compliance with State and federal standards for quality and safety.
